The Dual Pulse Generation of Trophy Plus Fence Controllers
PowerFence™ Dual Pulse Controllers include significant design enhancements to maximise the security of high security sites.
Double Voltage:
The high voltage deterrent between any pair of adjacent fence wires on the electric fence line is configurable to 14kV (kilovolts nominal) to help assure good fence contact. The logic behind this enhancement is that while the energy transferred to a would-be intruder provides the deterrent, it has to first reach the intruder. The greater voltage will penetrate thicker clothing to create the deterrent effect. At double the output of existing 7kV systems, 14kV between wires sets a strong standard for security perimeter fence systems.
Near Double Energy:
Once contact is made with the intruder, it is the energy level that provides the deterrent. At 4.6 Joules output energy between adjacent fence wires (500 ohm load), it’s a strong, yet safe, deterrent by any security fence system standard. It is nearly double the 2.6 Joules per zone of the standard configured Trophy Plus Controllers.
Twice the Wire Detection:
In traditional electric fence systems, the high voltage wires are interleaved with earth wires up to the height of the fence line, which means that every second wire provides no deterrent. The earth wires ensure that an intruder who is not touching the ground will still receive a deterrent pulse when attempting to climb the fence. The Dual Pulse Trophy system can replace all earth wires with an interleaved alarmed-deterrent zone wire. The key benefit being that any wire cut can create a zoned alarm and any wire touched in a breach attempt will give deterrent.
The Dual Pulse Trophy system meets national and international safety standards. Gallagher Security Management Systems is committed to applying these standards in all product development and implementation. As with existing Trophy system products the following benefits still apply:
- Energiser Pulses Synchronised. All Fence Controllers around the fence line are synchronised for safety reasons and to meet the requirements of International Safety Standards.
- Controllers. Each application is different, from a short rooftop to many miles of self-standing PowerFence™ fence. To meet these demands the Trophy FT Controllers form a modular family that are intelligently connected to offer any perimeter solution from 3,6,9…up to unlimited zones. All alarms monitoring and zone control is accessible through intelligent Network Controllers located in the main control room.
- Display of the Site & High Voltage Readings. The Keypad terminal or optional PC provides a display of the site and all high voltage readings for each zone around the fence line. There is no longer the need to investigate the site using a voltmeter so time savings are made. Each zone and zoned gate can be turned off independently for maintenance and control.
- Log History of Alarm & High Voltage Data. The PowerFence™ Trophy FT system records the last 20,000 alarms, operator arm-disarm actions and fence voltage history (time-stamped). These logs are accessible via the Keypad. Permanent logs with essentially no upper size limit can be recorded to a PC, where they can be imported into a spreadsheet for quick data sorting and diagnosis.
- Site Template. The Trophy FT site configuration programme can be downloaded and backed up on PC via the PC port. This provides permanent information for site set-up and diagnostics. In the unlikely event a site goes down and a new Controller is required, the site software template can be easily downloaded into the replacement Controller, with identical programmed settings. This applies to any replacement Controller around the site, ensuring all individual settings are consistently maintained.
Setting the Standard
- Dealer Training. Gallagher Security Management Systems operates a formal Dealer Training course for all authorised dealers. The rigorous training requirements include theoretical and practical training in all aspects of safety, security, site commissioning, and installation; enabling them to partner with Gallagher Security Management Systems to maximise your investment in perimeter security.
- Code of Practice – Site Certification. Following its installation, PowerFence™ professionals or a Gallagher Security Management Systems approved agent can inspect your PowerFence™ system to certify it has been installed in accordance with the Code of Practice. Only perimeter solutions that meet Gallagher Security Management Systems’ minimum standards for system reliability, safety, site security, and high installation criteria are certified.
- Maintenance Support Contracts. Recommended; these Gallagher Dealer Support Agreements ensure ongoing integrity of the site and minimise security downtime.
